LIVING WITH LATIN
Final Edition
I’ve decided to eliminate this section for three reasons: It takes too much time to write; not that many of you seem to be all that interested in it; and finally, I’ve found a better resource for those of you who want to know more about the Latin names of plants.
That resource is www.finegardening.com/hearlatin. It was created by the folks at Fine Gardening magazine (one of the few gardening publications I actually read), and on their site you can not only see how Latin names of plants are spelled and pronounced, but you can also hear how they’re pronounced. It’s very cool, and very useful. Check it out.
